This is a simple prototype for an anti-COVID security gate based on M5Stack Fire with Base-X, NCIR, Finger, and PIR Units. Employee identification is done by the Finger Unit (Serial Interface to M5) and his/her face temperature is measured by the NCIR Unit (I2C Interface to M5). The PIR Unit (PIO Interface to M5) detects human body motion and activates the system. If no action found, the system goes to screensaver mode to conserve power. The gate/door is opened and closed with two NXT Lego Motors. Lego Motors are actuated by the BaseX (M1 and M2). The UIFlow (Python) development environment was used for programming the M5Stack Fire.
